Pet Hodžel je sa razlogom postala kultna spisateljica još pre više od dve decenije, ali čini se da je sada blago izgubila pravac. Moj je osećaj da jednostavno nije navikla da objavljuje češće od jednom u pet godina, te je počela da se bavi pojedinostima bez većeg značaja za širu priču. No, svejedno se radujem svakoj novoj knjizi.

je sedmi naslov u serijalu Chronicles of Elantra - i vrlo lako moguće najbolji. Ovaj serijal je pomalo patio, bar u prethodne dve knjige, od velikih dešavanja i smakova sveta - i to u tolikoj razmeri da je čitalac već oguglao na te velike događaje. Cast in Ruin uspeva da se bavi događajem od presudne važnosti za svet u kojem se radnja ovih romana odvija, ali opet tako da to deluje skladno i nenametljivo, u maniru sličnom onom kojim su događaji predstavljeni u prve tri knjige, recimo. Većina serijala pati od svojevrsnog power creep-a, te je lepo videti da Mišel Sagara uspeva da izbegne taj problem.

Prvi roman je na mene ostavio nekako neodređen utisak. Nije me impresionirao ni izbliza koliko je hajp oko njega obećavao. Drugi sam počeo da čitam i učinilo mi se da je napisan daleko bolje i da je daleko zanimljiviji. Na kraju sam rešio da sačekam završnicu, pa da se vratim ovoj trilogiji.

Na ovo hocu da reagujem, tih romana nema a i kad ih ima preskupi su. To i prvi deo Kiernanine zbirke su stvarno must have i to u HC po mogucstvu. S druge strane, moram priznati da Valenteovu kupujem delimicno na hunch, ipak sam procitao samo 2 romana i ovo jesu rani radovi, ali nesto u njenoj poetici mi bas odgovara.

Evo, ja ću da reagujem na oba... posle Palimpsesta i Devojčice koja...itd, malo ću da pauziram od Valenteove, bar dok mi se ne ukaže prilika za Deathless. Malo mi je sumnjiva ta njena plodnost i skoro imam utisak da su romani o popu Jovanu tu samo da popune budžet dok se pišu zahtevniji samostalni romani.

Digao sam ruke, shvatio sam da manje citamo ostale postove koliko zurimo da podelimo sa svetom kako smo in i hip  Sto se to mozda kosi sa mojim dozivljajem internet bontona...

Glede Valenteove, imam slican utisak za Prestera.  Ali rani romani za 11 funti? Kratki?

Nadam se da si u pravu kad slutiš dolazak "zahtevnijih" romana, jer koliko sam skontala iz škicaja u Deathless, ima tu još dosta da se čeka...

Au, pa mislila sam da je Deathless taj zahtevniji roman? Ako on podbacuje, onda... onda je kvantitet ubio kvalitet, očekivano.

Lepo sto nudim a nemam pojma mogu li da nadjem knjigu  Ali imas srece, nije se duboko zavukla. Nosim je u ponedeljak, samo bi bilo lepo da me podsetis.

Eeee, to ćete morati vas dvoje da utanačite, jer tu sam vam ja totalno jusles, ali totalno, jer svi su mi parametri striktno u negativima; trebalo bi minimum da NE zevam dok čitam, i da NE zaspim dok čitam i da NE obnavljam poslednjih deset strana pri svakom otvaranju knjige, e tek da se prisetim "šta to ono beše da se tamo zadnje zbilo...???"

Pa ja sam mislila na romane zahtevnije za autore, u koje se ulaže više rada, truda, ambicije i inventivnosti, umesto da se sprčka kilo i po hartije na sedmi deo "trilogije" da bi se platila kirija.

Evo odličnog stimpanka, maskiranog u ljubić. Prvi roman, potpuno samostalan u odnosu na ovaj, bio mi je možda najprijatnije iznenađenje prošle godine. Upravo čitam Heart of Steel i moram reći da je Brukova zaista dobar pisac, koja se vrlo mudro prodaje kao autor ljubića.

Možda nešto slabiji od dva prethodna romana, ali svejedno izvanredno napisan i stilski i tehnički. Vuding se popeo vrlo visoko na spisku pisaca koje bih objavio da sam urednik ili vlasnik neke izdavačke kuće, I must say.
