Čisto da se vidi koliko je Xbox One reputacija i dalje pogana, na Evo turniru je studio Double Helix predstavljao novu inkarnaciju igre Killer Instinct - igre koja će biti Xbox One ekskluziva i "free to play" utoliko što ćete za dž dobiti jedan lik (i to svi isti) a ostali se kupuju. Naravno, Killer Instinct i nije nikad bio vrhunska  igra, ali ne samo da strim igre bio zatrpan komentarima da se ovo sranje skloni i da se pusti Marvel vs. Capcom, nego je i masa na samom turniru skandirala "Marvel! Marvel!" i na kraju vikala UAAA kad je pomenut Xbox One... Ludilo.

And last but not least, after the presentation was over and they were wrapping it up with some details, they dropped that forbidden name: "Xbox One". The crowd was instantly outraged and boos ensued for quite a long stretch of time. You could tell on the look on the presenters' faces that they were clearly embarrassed, and you couldn't help but to feel for them.
It was really something to watch this all go down live, but it just goes to show just how much damage Microsoft has down to the Xbox One's image, and I feel that an actually good game may be getting battered because of it.
UPDATE: Someone of you were doubting my words. There's a now a video posted on YouTube showing the booing ensuing when the Xbox One and Microsoft are mentioned. Now you can see the validation of my claim.

Pošto mac ne može sve sam, evo da podsetim da je DotA2 izašla iz beta verzije i sad je gold. Eurogamer je dao Quinnsu da napiše rivju i naravno da zvuči kao kad bi Aca Lukas pisao rivju za kokain. Oh, moram se, moram se uzdržati!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, Treasure i Capcom zajednički prave igru Gaist Crusher koja treba da bude neka vrsta naučnofantastične/ mecha varijacije na Monster Hunter. Normalno, ovo bi bio razlog za raskalašno slavlje, ali, trejler ne izgleda baš impresivno:

Dobro, nije toliko strašno, od svih njih samo je Čen sa izuzetno uspešnom igrom ostao bez dinara zarade, ali on je ipak imao iza sebe first party izdavača koji mu je finansirao razvoj i sad ima u portfoliju najprodavaniju PSN igru ikad. Ovi ostali su uglavnom napravili pare, Kasavin dovoljno da može da se ide dalje, MekMilen i Blou dovoljno da se sad mogu smatrati dobrostojećim građanima koji mogu da biraju da rade sasvim riskantne projekte poput Mewgenics i The Witness.

Pravi, pravi. Ja Soderstroma mnogo volim i, da, sa guštom sam mu dao pare, nekoliko puta, poklanjajući HLM kome god sam pomislio da bi se mogao dopasti. I posle sam kupio i PS3/ Vita verziju koja je, kako sam već argumentogvao DO JAJA.

Jebote, koliko ima divnih ljudi na ovom svetu, samo se toga setimo tek povremeno. Evo, pošto sam zimus kupio Teleglitch direktno od proizvođača (i bio oduševljen igrom, i poklanjao je i svašta), sada mi se odužuju time što mi poklanjaju Steam ključ za Die More edition igre. Stvarno prelepo. Ohrabrujem sve koji do sada nisu probali ovaj JEBENI akcioni roguelike (koji je kao top-down Doom, recimo) da pohrle ka Steamu.

IGNov rivju u suštini kaže da je sama igra dosta siromašna i, eh, kratka, ali da je potencijal za dobre modove u budućnosti ogroman. Sad ću da pročitam Eurogamerov i RPSov rivju da promislim o kupovini...

Znam da nas svi živi sajtovi smaraju nonstop pisanijima o Kikstarteru, ali ipak, mislim da je lepo i ljucki da ovde pomenem nekoliko projekata koje podržavam a koji su trenutno u procesu prikupljanja sredstava. Neki od njih su već premašili metu, neki se još trude, ali svi su, mislim, vredni pažnje i interesovanja:

Liege

Liege je potezna taktička RPG igra koju pravi John Rhee i mene je pridobio ne samo sjajnim koncept artom nego i ubedljivim trejlerima plus dobrom pričom. Čovek pominje Final Fantasy tactics, Suikoden i generalno cilj mu je da napravi modernu varijaciju na klasične konzolne 16bitne RPGove. Apdejti u kojima je ominjao ozbiljne narativne ambicije i odličan borbeni sistem su cementirali moje poverenje. Rhee ispada i divan čovek jer igru pravi i za PS4, Vitu i Wii U (obezbedio je sredstva za ove mete) i daće mi sve verzije kad igra bude gotova. Ima još manje od tri dana do kraja Kikstarter kampanje, pa ko želi, eto mu.


Warmachine Tactics

Ovo je baš ono što i ime kazuje, taktička, potezna igra smeštena u Warmachine univerzum koga pasionirani igrači igara na tabli dobro poznaju, štuju i vole. To se i vidi po činjenici da iako ima još dve nedelje do kraja kampanje, igra je već skoro duplirala zacrtanu metu i trenutno ima više od milijun dolara u pledževima. (pomoglo je i što je Kris Avelon hajpovao igru putem Project Eternity apdejta) Dakle, ne pominjem je jer joj je potreban lajf suport nego jer mislim da svako ko voli poštenu taktičku igru ovde može za malo para da dođe do nečeg, nadam se, sjajnog. Autori pominju Final Fantasy tactics, Valkyria Chronicles i XCOM kao reference što je, dakako, ohrabrujuće. Mislim, ni sam ne znam koliko sam XCOM-olikih i FFT-olikih igara bekovao na kikstarteru, ali ova deluje kao da će imati i solidne produkcione kvalitete.

Tangiers

E, ovde je već situacija malo alarmantnija. Mislim, Tangiers ima još 18 dana do kraja kampanje i prebacio je polovinu mete, ali statistike na kikstarteru nas uče da igre koje su uspešne gro svog novca naprave u prvih par dana i poslednjih nekoliko sati. Tangiers ima daleko blažu krivu prihoda, a držim da je stvar u tome da autor, Alex Harvey, nije ime sa reputacijom u industriji, ne poznaje novinare itd. i, generalno, nije sjajan u promociji svoje igre (na primer, nema ni link za Fejsbuk stranu na KS strani), iako projekat zvuči FENOMENALNO. Eurogamer je, svaka čast Džefriju Matulefu, pre jedno mesec dana pisao o ovoj igri (možda sam je i ja negde pomenuo na ovom topiku) i već tada je bilo jasno da se radi o arty ambiciji, jer je igra inspirisana "Balardom, dadaistima i ranom indastrijal muzikom", plus vizuelni dizajn je izvrstan, ali kroz Kikstarter apdejte, Harvi vrlo ozbiljno priča o šunjalačkoj mehanici igre i to zvuči dobro. Ja uopšte nisam siguran da za bednih 35 tisuća funti koje Harvi traži za igru može da se napravi sve ovo što je nabrojao u "features" sekciji, ali želim da verujem da je u pitanju genije dizajna. Pa vi vidite.

I could only imagine what talented, nutty Phil would craft for a device that I believe in so much that I put my own fucking money into it. (There's your disclaimer.) I'd like to think that I know a good thing when I see it in life.
Read this fantastic article on Giant Bomb on your situation and the internet in general. I personally have been called every name in the book. Even back in, what, 1999 when I made a website about scanning cats on a flatbed scanner (look it up, folks, I exploited cats online before it was cool!) I got hate mail that was insane. Someone telling me that I should have "died in a gas chamber" (assuming my last name is of Polish/Jewish heritage; only half right.)
My first time being flamed online happened when I was 15 on a BBS the summer my father died suddenly from heart issues. I was learning how to code and I wrote a simple screen saver; one of those dancing multi colored lines programs. I released it to a BBS and someone anonymously posted "Your dead father could have coded something better." I was furious, hurt, and I replied with an implied death threat. The website called my house and I got in trouble for the comment, but the damage was done. I went back to mowing my neighbor's two acre lawn with his shitty push mower for ten bucks and Bionic Commando. ;)
My skin started to thicken, as did my resolve to do something with my life.
Never underestimate the intestinal fortitude of the anonymous loser hiding behind a monitor and his or her ability to sling vitriol at someone who willingly puts themselves out there. The fact of the matter, Phil, is that you were trending worldwide on Twitter. How many game developers can say that? Does no one realize that while you may seem somewhat unstable at times you also have Andy Kaufman as your Twitter AVI? (Kids, google Andy, and suddenly Phil might just make more sense to you. Or watch "Man On The Moon.")
Never forget that the internet can be a fantastic thing, but it can also be fantastically dumb. Reddit is a wonderful community for finding out funny memes or random facts until they falsely accuse someone of being the Boston Bomber or go out of their way to protect the r/creepshots loser. And never forget that the Internet can be one big game of telephone amplified by anonymous myopic monkeys jamming on keyboards who are so angry about their meatball sandwich.
(How do you think I feel when my wife reads a tweet to her that says "come sit on my face" or "you are a bitch"?)
Someone on Twitter asked me how to deal with haters. I have some experience on the subject for well over 20 years now. Blow says you can't ignore it because by the time you've read the words it's too late. The key with the idiots is to outwit them because the idiot uses hate (and poor spelling/grammar) because the idiot does not know how to be witty. Watch what people like Ricky Gervais and Patton Oswalt do on Twitter. Heck, like him or not, even Piers Morgan is pretty good at fending them off.
Every idiot that you outwit wins you five times the fans and that much more respect.
The other key is to absorb all of that hate into one big fireball of motivation inside of your belly and then pour all of that energy into your work until you can unleash one big giant motherfucking HADOKEN upon the community that wins awards and sells millions and then the haters will truly be eating a giant bushel of dicks as you roll in a pile of money, acclaim, and community love.
You don't owe a damned thing to any gaming journalist. We've seen the rise of many "Rush Limbaughs" in the gaming industry, people who do videos or podcasts digging a finger into an open wound that gets the gaming community going because, hits. You DO owe a great product to your community, something I hope you'll resume doing some time in the near future. The industry needs people like you to speak with their hearts before their brains because I'm tired of hearing the PR approved appropriate response. I'm tired of games that feel like they've been developed by focus groups or clueless executives going "Hey that Call of Duty is big, we need one of those!"
Besides, at the end of the day, that cycle of community feedback and crafting that big fireball is entirely too addictive.
Come back, Phil. We miss you already. Maybe I'll be right behind you, returning with Adamantium skin.

Guacamelee! je, da podsetim, metroidvania sa lučador tematikom i odličnim borbenim sistemom koja je do nedavno bila PS3/PSV ekskluziva. Nahvalio sam je onomad.

Uzgred, juče se pojavio prvi DLC paket za Bioshock Infinite: Clash in the Clouds. Kolko se sećam, četiri i pol evra je.
