Ou. Maj. Gad. Iduće nedelje Ikaruga stiže u prodaju na Steamu. Radi se o jednoj od najvoljenijih shootemup igara ikad. O kojoj su neki ljudi i pesme pisali (ozbiljno). Ovo je zaista prvorazredna vest i... malo mi se vrti od pomisli da ona možda znači da ćemo u nekoj doglednoj budućnostina Steamu videti i Radiant Silvergun ili čak *GULP* Gradius 5.

Sve ove igre ste možda igrali putem emulacije (i Xbox Live Arcade je imao neke od njih), a ako ste baš hardcore, onda na njihovim originalnim platformama, ali ovo je divna vest za modernog igrača.

I zaista mi nije jasno što im je bilo teško da naprave verziju i za PC kad su igru ionako pustili za DŽ kao free download? I još jedno pitanje samo, šta je taj android, konzola ko i sve ostale ili šta? Hvala.
Sad sam probao, radi PVZ2 na bluestacks emulatoru, ne znam koju mašinu imaš ali moja je stara jedno 4 - 5 godina.

E al u tom je problem, meni ne da da instaliram taj bluestacks emulator jer kao gistro slaba mi kartica?!  :roll:

Mislim da ces  nazalost morati da sacekas nativnu verziju za pc. Ako ti je za utehu, meni je prvi deo bolji. U stvari isti k. samo su ovde ubacili osvajanje nekih zvezdica i kljuceva koje da bi zaradio treba da ogulis prste, ili da ih naravno kupis. Verovatno skotovi nece da izbacuju za pc dokle god im vlasnici smartfonova placaju.

Pošto trenutno igram (sa skoro četiri godine zakašnjenja) kultni 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, a odmah za njim ću i Virtue's Last reward, jer mi se prilično dopada, Danganronpa mi deluje kao dalja evolucija ozbiljnog visual novel igranja u kombinaciji sa inteligentnim rešavanjem zagonetki i dodatkom socijalnih veza...

Videli ste da Irrational Games više nije ono što je bio do pre neki dan? Naime, Ken Levine je rešio da rasturi studio, štaviše, otpustio sve zaposlene osim petnaestak najbližih da bi mogao da se skoncentriše na pravljenje "replayable narrative" igara što ne znamo šta znači ali znači sigurno manje, jeftinije proizvode sa, u nekom idealnom scenariju, inteligentnim pričama koje bi se u zavisnosti od igračevog učešća u mnogo ponovljenih pokušaja odvijale drugačije. Dakle, nešto između The Walking Dead i The Stanley Parable, kako ja to nagađam. Ken veli da je hteo da napusti 2K i osnuje novi studio ali da su ga 2K ubedili da ostane unutar njihove korporativne strukture... Enivej, ovo nedvosmisleno znači da će buduće BioShock igre praviti neko drugi što je okej, kao i što je okej da Ken i drugovi žele da rade nešto drugo. Da li će išta od toga valjati, pokazaće istorija.

Klifi Bi ima nezasluženu reputaciju meathead divelopera, neke vrste Roba Liefelda igračkog sveta, iako su njegove opservacije generalno inteligentne i, uh, čak proročanske. Gamasutra ima ekskluzivni intervju sa njim koji vredi pročitati, a evo nekih intersantnih izvadaka:

Znao sam ja da će kad-tad idiosinkratični stil pisanja rivjuova Kare Elison svima nama doći glave. Ne samo da je jasno da je njen rivju Earth Defense Force 2025 pisao neko ko nije igrao prethodne igre iz serijala a i da jeste, nije ih volio, kao ni ovu igru, nego je ovo jedan, avaj, self-serving, navel gazing rivju koji jeste mestimično smešan ali je isuviše narcisoidan i dismisivan. Čitaoci Eurogamera ne reaguju najbolje na sve ovo...


Hoću reći, New Games Journalism bi morao biti ipak više od egocentričnog blogovanja, pa makar i zabavnog egocentričnog blogovanja...

Prvo, Nintendo je, predvidivo pokupio mnogo kritika zbog svog najnovijeg pokušaja da privuče ženske igrače. Mi znamo da oni to u najboljoj nameri ali i znamo kako Japan ume da bude patronizirajući kada su žene u pitanju. Evo teksta o tome.



A drugo, veliki izdavači igara (i vlasnivci digitalnih kanala za distribuciju istih) su godinama unazad držali iste cene daunloudabilnim verzijama igara kao što su bile cene diskova/ kartridža u radnji da ne bi zaratili sa velikim lancima prodavnica od kojih su zarađivali ipak najviše novca. No, balans se, razumljivo, pomera, pa je Majkrosoft rešio da krene sa bacanjem rukavice GameStopu, a Sony ih prati u korak:

Most of the video game industry is already dependent on digital distribution. If you're going to game on your iPad, for example, you couldn't use a disc even if you wanted to. PC gamers, enthralled with services such as Steam and GOG, have long traded in their discs for digital downloads.
There's only one area of the industry where physical discs remain common: living-room consoles. Most owners of Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's PlayStation still purchase hard copies of their games, and play them directly from their console's disc drives. They can buy a digital version from Microsoft's and Sony's respective online marketplaces, but there isn't much incentive to do so.
While it does save them a trip to the store, the games aren't any less expensive. Moreover, they can't be resold or traded to friends. And gamers with slow Internet connections may find the long download times unbearable.
But all that could be about to change.
Microsoft is going to make gamers an offer they can't refuse
Earlier this week, Microsoft announced that it would begin experimenting with digital game discounts. If you own Microsoft's latest console, the Xbox One, for a limited time this month you'll be able to buy a digital version of Ryse: Son of Rome directly from Microsoft's online marketplace for just $40.
This is such a tremendous blow to GameStop's business model that it's difficult for me to overstate the matter.
Right now, your local GameStop would charge you $60 for a physical, brand-new version of Ryse. If you were willing to buy a used version (and GameStop would prefer you did), you would still have to shell out $55. In other words, while Microsoft is running that deal, gamers have virtually no reason to buy a copy from GameStop.
What's important to note is that Ryse isn't just some old, obscure game -- it is one of the Xbox One's best-looking launch titles, and has been out for less than three months. This is the type of game GameStop is most dependent upon for its business.
To be clear, Microsoft has said this is only a test; a trial balloon to gauge gamers' reactions. But if this were to become a common trend -- a discounted, digital version of a game offered shortly after its release -- GameStop would have a real crisis on its hands. Gamers may prefer to buy physical when the digital game is the same price, but a digital game offered at a 33% discount would be an offer most could not refuse. GameStop would be forced to counter with its own price cuts, or lose out on business entirely.
Sony isn't any better
But that's just Microsoft, and as I've pointed out, the Xbox One isn't even selling well. Sony's PlayStation 4 has outsold Microsoft's console around the globe, and even if Microsoft undercuts GameStop, the company still has a partner in Sony -- right?
Not really. While Sony hasn't offered up any cheap, digital PlayStation 4 launch titles, the Japanese giant is pushing digitial distribution in other ways. Last month, Sony unveiled PlayStation Now, an on-demand video game streaming service that promises to digitally deliver old PlayStation games over the Internet -- no downloading required.
More menacing might be Sony's Instant Game Collection. Each month, subscribers to Sony's PlayStation+ service get a slate of free digital games that they can download and play so long as they remain a member. While this service has been available for years, it's much more a threat to GameStop today than it's ever been in the past.
Sony's last console, the PlayStation 3, offered free online multiplayer. In that era, PlayStation+ was simply an optional service for dedicated gamers. But today, that's no longer the case -- PlayStation 4 owners must purchase a PlayStation+ subscription in order to game online.
Given the popularity of online multiplayer games, the great majority of those owners will subscribe, so more Sony gamers than ever before will have access to the Instant Game Collection. And while that won't, by itself, eviscerate the demand for PlayStation 4 games at GameStop stores, it will have a negative effect.
Countdown to the inevitable
The move toward digital distribution is in full swing. The debate is no longer about the inevitability of the outcome, but about how long it will take. Wedbush's Michael Pachter, a notable GameStop bull, believes the company has at least 10 years left on its core business.
While that's certainly possible, I would be utterly shocked if the company manages to survive another five years, let alone 10. Its two major suppliers, Microsoft and Sony, are moving against it aggressively.

Već sam pominjao kako poslednjih dva meseca mediji izrazito sumnjivo izveštavaju o prodaji i drugim uspesima aktuelnih konzola. Ne samo igrački mediji, već i biznis mediji i generalni mediji. Činjenica da Xbox One generalno iste igre prikazuje u nešto nižoj rezoluciji nego Playstation 4 jeste donekle indikativna, ali pobogu i zaboga, to ne samo da je za 90% igrača nevidljiva razlika (na primer, Thief će za PS4 ići u punih 1080p a za Xbox One u 900), koja najčešće nema skoro nikakvog primetnog uticaja na kvalitet iskustva nego i ne zaboravimo da su u poslednje dve generacije Sonyjeve konzole (Playstation 2 i 3) prikazivale cross-platform igre u nižoj rezoluciji nego Microsoftove i mada je tokom prvih 5 godina ovo bila tema messageboard ratova između Xbotova i Sony Defense Forcea, nije da su mediji sa ovakvom žustrinom kao danas isticali da je Playstation 3 "lošija" konzola zbog neznatno slabijeg kvaliteta autputa slike. Čovek bi, čitajući poslednjih dana stvari po internetu stekao utisak da Xbox One bukvalno skoči i sekirom vam iscepa televizor na komade čim ga uključite, dok Sonyjeva konzola ne samo da vozi sve u prelepom 1080p nego oće i da spremi profiterole i da vam opere noge itd.


Najnoviji primer mi je potpuno bizarno insistiranje da je Sony nekako unakazio Microsoft time što je za dva meseca prodao više konzola. Evo, recimo jučerašnji tekst Motley Foola:

Good luck finding a PlayStation 4
In stark contrast, Sony's rival PlayStation 4 is virtually impossible to find. Of the six GameStops I called in my area, not a single one had the machine in stock, and none of GameStop's employees could tell me when their next shipment would arrive.
They did, however, offer to ship a PlayStation 4 directly to my house when it turned up -- assuming that I was willing to purchase a nearly $700 bundle that comes with games and an extra controller.
Too expensive and too weak
I had no interest in purchasing that bundle, and I doubt many gamers would. Indeed, the PlayStation 4's greatest selling point remains its price advantage: At just $400, it's a full $100 cheaper than Microsoft's Xbox One.
The PlayStation 4 is also slightly more powerful. Metal Gear Solid V, a game coming to both Sony's and Microsoft's next-generation consoles, will look better when played on Sony's machine.
To many gamers, a minor difference in graphics quality might not matter much -- but combined with the $100 price difference, it may be too much for Microsoft's console to overcome.
Price cut coming?
The Target and Wal-Mart initiatives basically amount to an unofficial $50 price cut, suggesting that Microsoft may need to reduce the Xbox One's MSRP. There are rumors that Microsoft is working on a cheaper version of the console; if recent sales trends are any indication, that cheaper Xbox One can't come fast enough.
On equal footing, Microsoft's console might hold its own against Sony's system, but at what expense? Microsoft could sacrifice its controversial Kinect add-on, or, as has been rumored, roll out a version of the console that does not include a disc drive.
Although cutting out the disc drive would not, by itself, reduce the manufacturing cost by $100, Microsoft would ultimately see more revenue in the long run. Gamers who purchased a digitally dependent Xbox One would have no choice but to buy their games directly from Microsoft's online store, cutting GameStop and other retailers out of the equation.
But Microsoft had better do something. With excess Xbox One inventory driving retailers to drastic action, the company is far behind Sony in the current console war.

Dakle, ne samo što naslov insistira da su prodavci "očajni" već se i veoma uverljivo objašnjava da je konzola slaba a skupa, da se jadno prodaje itd. Ono što tekst ne pominje je naravno da se Xbox One prodaje upadljivo brže i bolje nego prethodna Microsoftova konzola (koja se i sama prodavala mnogo brže nego originalni Xbox) i da bi, ako bismo zanemarili Playstation 4 pričali o rekordnim količinama, kao i da je za sada attach rate prilično solidan, da se digitalno distribuirane igre prodaju prilično dobro itd. Hoću da kažem, stvarno nije teško steći utisak, čak i ako niste ikakav zagovarač teorija zavere, da je Sony ovde otvorio crne fondove i krenuo da potplaćuje i levo i desno jer ovakav stav pogotovo američkih medija naprosto ne umem da objasnim...

Ne znam da li je iko registrovao jedan vilijemgibsonovski momenat naše trenutne povijesne zbiljnosti: desetine hiljada ljudi zajedno igraju Pokemon (stari, sa Gameboyja) putem twitch.tv sajta... Dakle, desetine hiljada ljudi ODJEDNOM pokušavaju da igraju singl plejer igru, kao nekakva megakošnica koja pokušava da donese seriju konzistentnih odluka.  Vrlo dobar članak na ovu temu.

Bizarna demonstracija izvanredne igračke discipline: čovek prelazi Super Mario bros. bez ijednog pokupljenog novčića, bez ijednog ubijenog neprijatelja, bez ijedne sekunde preostale na ijednom nivou  :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: Ovakve stavri su ranije rađene putem emulatora i snimanja pozicija, ovo je u principu prvi poznati "500 point" prelazak urađen "ručno"

Adam Smit je igrao alfu Elite: Dangerous i objavio impresije na RPS-u. Spojlr alrt: raspamećen je endžinom i kvalitetom inženjerske izvrsnosti u igri, dakle, kontrolama, grafikom, time kako se brod kreće itd., do te mere da je izjavio da ne bi  imao problem da igra bude čak i samo procesija borbenih misija. Naravno, sam sebe pokušava da obuzda i stalno ponavlja "al dobro, ne znamo kako će izgledati open world porcija igre".

Nažaost, ovaj rivju je mnogo negativniji i ubedljiviji u tome što priča.

A objavljeno je da će novi šef dela Majkrosofta koji se između ostalog bavi Xboxom biti Stephen Elop.


Mislim da ovo sjajno ilustruje razlike u pristupu gejmingu koji imaju Sony i Microsoft. Dok kod Sonyja delom kompanije koji se bavi igrama i generalno gejmingom predsedava edukovani filolog koji već četvrt veka radi u Sonyju a skoro dvadeset godina se bavi igrama, Majkrosoft dovodi čoveka od spolja koji jeste radio u softverskim kućama, ali nema nikakve veze sa igrama i već mesecima se priča da se zdušno zalaže da se ceo Xbox biznis proda nekom drugom a da se Majkrosoft mane ćorava posla (doduše u okviru svoje kampanje da postane CEO  Majkrosofta). Takođe, ne zaboravimo da je Elop na svom poslednjem poslu, u Nokiji, doveo firmu u ozbiljne probleme pa je na kraju prodata - Majkrosoftu, zbog čega je optuživan da je bio inside man Stevea Ballmera.

Sve u svemu, Xbox One koji već gubi korak u trci sa Sonyjem, bi u sledeće dve godine mogao da bude sasvim upušten od strane MS-a slično onome što se na krau dogodilo sa zlosrećnim games for windows live. Imati na umu pri kupovini.

Američki zakonodavci bave se problemom nasilnih videoigara time što predlažu da se uskrati poreska olakšica na istraživanje i razvoj onim firmama koje objavljuju nasilne videoigre. Razume se, ovo je elegantno rešenje otprilike koliko i brisanje dupeta u bokserskim rukavicama, uzevši u obzir da se ne gađaju igre konkretno nego firme u celini, pa to znači da poresku olakšicu ne možete da dobijete ni za igru koja se bavi uzgajanjem i milovanjem jagnjadi ako imate bar jednu igru u kojoj se puca na nekoga...

Već sam ovde više puta pominjao igru Tangiers koju sam podržao na kikstarteru, soporifičnu stealth akciju insipirisanu Barouzom, Throbbing Gristleom i sličnim lepotama. Aleks Harvi, njen glavni autor dojavljuje da je igra feature complete (dakle, mehanike su završene i sad im ostaje dug period dotezanja, podešavanja i balansiranja plus, naravno proizvodnja sadržaja) i deli sa nama neke prelepe skrinšotove, ovog puta urađene zaista u endžinu itd. Veselim se.

Arkham Knight će, vele u Rocksteadyju, biti finale njihove priče o Betmenu (i to tako kažu kao da potpuno ignorišu Arkham Origins koga nisu sami pravili) i biće završnica u velikom stilu. Između ostalog, Betmobil bi trebalo da bude značajan element gejmpleja, čemu se veselim jer je Origins bio solidna kaver verzija Rocksteadyjevih igara ali bez mnogo inspirisanosti.  DLC paket će omogućiti igračima da igraju i kao Harley Quinn (jer zašto bi to bio deo same igre, ili makar sadržaj koji se može otključati igranjem? Pa nismo više u dvadesetom veku!)
