Stvarno dobra ponuda. Naravno, ja to sve imam na, što se kaže, tvrdim medijima, ali, baš lepa ponuda. Steam je kao neka zla žena čijim se seduktivnim čarima zaista nije lako odupreti.

Jeben je igrač Sabre Wulf. Igram ga na DS-ovom Amstrad emulatoru s vremena na vreme i to je meni totalni adrenaline rush, ali najdalje što sam u ovih 25 godina stigo su bila tri od četri dela medaljona.

Interesantno - mislim, zbog izvučenih teza tog mrtvog Francuza. Suviše su rigidne, u isto vreme i uopštene te ih je razvoj igara odavno polomio ili zaobišao, pa ni Mafia Warsu koji nisam imao zadovoljstvo da igram ne bih nijekao pedigre.

Al se raspisao Bogost!!! Pa koliko je trajao taj njegov kinout, jevo ga otac, ko da je El Prezidente pričao!!!

No, zanimljiv tekst, doduše veoma akademski po tonu i moraćete da se porvete sa Kantom, Hajdegerom, Deridom, Harmanom i još ponekim drugarom pre nego što stignete do njegovog kraja. Što je i u redu jer se pre svega bavi ontologijom videoigara. Kreće od toga da pokaže da je sukob između ludologije i naratologije ne toliko lažan koliko iskonstruisan da bi se u proučavanje igara uvela formalna disciplina, a zatim ide daleko u razlaganje stvari na sastavne elemente, nudeći najmanje pet nivoa "postojanja" videoigre, od platforme na kojoj se nalazi pa do Recepcije/ Operacije.

No, i to mu je malo, pa se preko Hajdegera (bitak je ono što mi možemo da percipiramo kod objekta, ne objekt sam, plus objekt za nas bivstvuje samo kao nešto što ima funkciju) i Harmana (funkcija objekta - pa time i njegov bitak - se ne može svesti na funkciju za ljude/ čoveka nego bilo koju funkciju između bilo koja dva objekta) dobacuje do Levija Brajanta i pojma "ravne ontologije" koga je on ukrao od manuela DeLande i malo mu izmenio značenje. DeLanda koristi ovaj pojam da obeleži ontologiju koja prepoznaje samo individualne objekte, dakle, ne postoje kategorije, klase, porodice itd. Brajant, pak, koristi ovaj pojam da uspostavi ontologiju koja nema hijerarhiju, odnosno koja daje svakom objektu isti ontološki status.

Iz ovoga, Bogost onda okreće sliku i kaže da jedan objekat može, da ga ugrubo sažmem, imati više ontoloških statusa koji su svi jednako validni (da ne kažem jednako stvarni), a čija percepcija zavisi od situacije. Koristi sjajan primer igre E.T. koju lako definiše kao objekat-sa-bitkom u nekoliko sasvim jednako validnih nivoa - kao kod, kao set pravila, kao imanentnost plastike, elektrona i fotona, kao kulturološki obkekat, ali i kao kulturološki agens itd. Na posletku, Bogost dolazi do "messa" odnosno nereda, odnosno filozofskog zahteva da se  mora odustati od kompulzija ka uređivanju jer to prečesto zasenjuje suštinu zarad lakše akademske diskusije... Lepa priča.

Mislim da je pristup koji su rivjui Hevi rejna koje sam čitao uzeli, dakle kao što Kejdž kaže, opisivanje emocija i ličnih asocijacija kod novinara ispravan; no meni oni naprosto nisu bili dovoljno dobri pisci da bi pravilno razumevanje estetske namere autora igre, prošireno pomenutom metodom odvelo tekst mnogo dalje od panegirika za aktivižnov aerodromski pokolj. Stoga bih ja najradije čitao o sprezi i diskrepancijama između Farenhajta i HR-a... pre svega mehaničkim. I baš kada nešto što liči na to pitanje stigne na red, dobija se mrljav odgovor a dobrom intervjuu dođe kraj.

Teme koje pominje su konstantne... mocap, zašto ovo nije interaktivni film, kako akcije imaju konsekvence koje utiču na priču koja, opet, ide dalje, kako drugi mediji/umetnosti utiču na specifični izraz potreban da bi se njihove metode prenele na video igru... i konstantna prozivka pucačina.  :lol:

...ali blog je odličan! Ima dosta o tehničkoj strani, pomenutom mocapu i bleach efektu koji finčerovski utiče na kontrast. Čini mi se da njegovom primenom na lik u fokusu vidimo hladno, gestapovski inkvizitivno svetlo koje verovatno doprinosi zlokobnom miru viđenom u Farenhajtu, koji, iako se u 14 unosa pominje jednom (proverio sam) umnogome doprinosi razumevanju Kejdžove filozofije. Najbolji primer koji bih mogao da izdvojim jeste mundana radnja paljenja svetla - on ume da izgradi atmosferu praktično simsolikim akcijama koje značenjski daleko nadilaze pad u zamku konfekcijske simulacije života. A gradi je u sadejstvu s vremenom - u meteorološkom i u intervalnom smislu, koji u slučaju smrkavanja koje za posledicu ima pritisak na prekidač za svetlo zorno korespondiraju... i simbolizmom rađaju emociju.

What is Glitch?

Glitch is a massively-multiplayer game, playable in the browser and built in the spirit of the web. It is currently in development and will launch late in 2010. Private alpha is beginning shortly and a public beta period will begin this summer.

What makes it different?

For starters, it's all one big world. Which means everyone is playing the same game and anyone's actions have the ability to affect every other player in the game. It also involves very little war, moats, spaceships, wizards, mafiosos, or tapestries. Also: we have egg plants. Egg plants make it very different.



Why is it called "Glitch"?

It's called Glitch because in the far-distant and totally-perfect future, the world starts becoming less and less probable, things fall apart, the center cannot hold, and there occurs what comes to be called the "glitch" — a grave danger of disemprobablization.

This results in a time-traveling effort at saving the future, going back into the minds of eleven great giants walking sacred paths on a barren asteroid who sing and think and hum the world into existence and ... you know what? You'll probably just have to wait and play the game :)

Preciznije, izlazi sutra. Pirat Steam verzije je već par dana dostupan, ali bez kreka. Rani prikazi vele da je igra malo utegnutija i fokusiranija od Empirea, što svakako treba pozdraviti.

Stiže u Beograd  idućeg Četvrtka-Petka. Nadam se da će do tada da završe peč koji će ova sranja da anulira, ali jebem ti ja milenijum u kome moram da se nadam pečevima za konzolne igre da bi ostvarile minimum funkcionalnosti.

In other news, juče sam isprobao Napoleon Total War. Brutalnih 20 GB za instalaciju koja traje skoro sat vremena, ali posle toga, ovo jeste malo upeglaniji Empire TW... I tu se, naravno  čekaju pečevi, ali kod CA je to već tradicija a i onlajn im je baziran i dalje na beta kodu od ETW...

Mysterious Portal Update Released

While that doesn't say much of anything, Shacknews has an article up with details and interpretations of what was actually adjusted.

The article points out that a number of new sound files have been added containing what sounds like Morse code. An alleged translation of the sounds reads like the start-up sequence of a computer, presumably the maniacal robot villain GLaDOS, though that's speculation at this point.

Could this mean we might hear more about a sequel soon? We've contacted Valve for some clarification as to what the update did and what it means, and will update this story should a response come in.

Along with this cryptic change, is a new achievement, titled "Transmission Received", which Shacker ghost in my shell reported unlocking after he "put the radio on the red button on the first stage." At this point it "started spitting out Morse code."

We're still unsure what is actually going on here, but mysterious things appear to be afoot. At the very least, I'd recommend getting this achievement.

Steam users have begun finding images hidden in the updated game files. All of these images clearly show the Aperture Science logo from the game.


I've reached out to Valve Software for comment and I'll keep you updated of any new information.

Update: The following is reportedly a sound made by an in-game radio when thrown into a force field: "Dinosaur_Fizzle" noise Warning: Loud!.

Update 2: Steam users have found 26 new sound files containing around 17 minutes of Morse code. The first file has been translated to read: "interior transmission active external data line active message digest active". Something big is going on.

Update 3: In-game video of some of the Morse code and the above "Dinosaur_Fizzle" noise. Additionally, check these two videos of the near 18-minutes of sounds: Part 1 - Part 2

Update 4: One potential translation is:

Report: Trouble Brewing At Developer Infinity Ward

IGN has contacted both Activision and Infinity Ward for comment on the situation, so expect to hear more on this story tomorrow.

Update: A SEC filing from this morning by Activision perhaps paints a clearer picture of the situation. The filing states two unnamed, senior-level employees have been part of an internal HR investigation.


The Company is concluding an internal human resources inquiry into breaches of contract and insubordination by two senior employees at Infinity Ward. This matter is expected to involve the departure of key personnel and litigation. At present, the Company does not expect this matter to have a material impact on the Company.

Inače, u prethodna dva dana, Sony je uspeo još jednom da demonstrira da ne postoji ništa što oni mogu da naprave a što u nekom trenutku neće pretiti da sruši civilizaciju kakvu poznajemo. Moj 1st Gen, fat PS3 je iskusio samo delić problema koji je donela ApocalyPS3, to jest, nisam mogao da se ulogujem na PSN, ali neki ljudi su imali problem sa igranjem igara, korupcijom sejvgejmova i trofeja itd:
