Sta je to "wager" odnosno "wagering" u kockarskom smislu?

Nekakvo pogadjanje glede kladjenja al' ne mogu da pohvatam kakvo?!

Opklada / bet, mislim da ne znaci nista drugo nego 'bet'. Ja tu rec ne koristim, ali vidjao sam je u literaturi.

Kako se "wager" razlikuje od "bet", to je cini mi se kljucno pitanje.

'wager' je mozda formalnije, ali ko ce ga znat.

Kako bi ti strancu objasnila rec 'valjda'? Googletranslate prevodi kao "I guess" na engleski ili kao "mislim da" na par drugih jezika.
Mojoj zeni je to neko preveo kao 'mozda' u Srbiji. Valjda nije mozda, niti oznacava uverenje, vise nadanje i zelje govornika. Najbliza srpska rec bi bila mislim 'nadam se'

bet, better (nadjebavanje, tko ce biti bolji), komparacija kao npr. wet, wetter (than an otter's pocket)

wage, wager (obaveza koju neko preuzima da plati kome drugom ako neki uslov bude ispunjen ili posao obavljen)
