Groundhog Day 2015 In Canada:
Wiarton Willie Says Early Spring,
Shubenacadie Sam Says No

Ontario's Wiarton Willie emerged from his burrow and did not see his shadow, predicting an early spring.

In Nova Scotia, meanwhile, Shubenacadie Sam saw his shadow, which according to groundhog folklore means six more weeks of winter.

Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney Phil, predicting six more weeks of winter.

I think the other two don't know what they're talking about," said Wiarton Mayor Janice Jackson, who leaned in to "listen" to Willie before screaming "It's an early spring!" to the crowd.

The rowdy group didn't wait around long as many scurried off to their cars to get out of the -16C weather and gusty winds.

Last year, only Willie was correct when he spotted his shadow.

Njujork 12 dana bez ubistva

Njujork -- Grad Njujok je 12 dana uživao bez ijednog ubistva, prvi put od 1994, ali je to danas okončano ubistvom muškarca iz vatrenog oružja, saopštila je policija.

Muškarac star 28 godina podlegao je danas ranama zadobijem u petak u njujorškoj četvrti Kvins, piše list Njujork tajms.

Taj slučaj je okončao pauzu u ubistvima u Njujorku gde se poslednje ubistvo dogodilo 2. februara.

Poslednja "pauza" u ubistvima dogodila se 1994. godine, kada niko nije bio ubijen u Njujorku tokom deset dana, od 13. do 22. februara.

Late March Forecast

Looking further ahead to the end of next week and the official start of spring, however, there are numerous indications that a significant weather pattern change will occur.

This will likely lead to a jet stream pattern similar to what we saw during February, and it looks like this will persist through early April.

This does not mean the weather at the end of March will look and feel like February.

By late March, average temperatures are at least 5 to 10 degrees warmer than during February, so this pattern would not produce temperatures that are as frigid as they were.

34 C, pola 8.  Skoro i ovde za 'kunoc.

Nisam sigurna sta se dogadja u vasim krajevima, ali ove godine leto u BC-u traje od samog pocetka Maja meseca.
Temperature su nesnosne.  O pozarima da i ne pocinjem.  Ovog momenta gledam kroz prozor i posmatram jedan koji se siri neverovatnom brzinom. :(  Svake godine ista stvar.  Vec mi je muka od ovoga.

Ovde smo se pre dve nedelje pogusili od pozara na Whistleru (100km daleko!) a cujem da su udari groma izazvali 60+ pozara u BC-ju u protekla 24 sata.
Baggio, kuca bezbedna? Znam da je pre nekoliko godina bio haos tamo...
